Legacy for Future Generations

Andrea AxelrodOf all the charities Andrea Axelrod has supported over the years, IRC is among the organizations she has consistently given to the longest. She deeply admires the lasting history of the IRC and its ability to adapt to new challenges in conflicts around the world. She is proud to support an organization that helps refugees and other clients regardless of background, from the artists helped by IRC co-founder Varian Fry in World War II to people arriving in the United States today.

Andrea has thoughtfully planned out her estate. She will support family members and also included the IRC as one of the beneficiaries of her IRA account in honor of her family’s history as Eastern European refugees in the late 19th century. “I want my niece and grandnieces to be aware of the world out there and to know what issues truly mattered to me,” she shared.

Andrea has found that making the IRC a beneficiary of her IRA to be an uncomplicated, easy process for today and in the future. She hopes that future generations of her family will be inspired by her legacy gifts to continue a family tradition of supporting causes important to them.
